The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) maintains the largest cooperation database within the European Union and associated countries. Companies are able to publish their search profiles and distribute these in 49 countries, free of charge, in the areas of business, research and technology.

The network is active in the 27 EU member states and countries of the European Economic Area (EEA), in Armenia, Israel and Switzerland, as well as in countries such as China, the US and Chile. It consists of about 500 organisations such as chambers of commerce and regional development agencies, as well as technology centres at universities. The Enterprise Europe Network helps companies to find potential partners and customers in other countries. SMEs also receive information on technical questions regarding, for example, intellectual property laws, norms and legal provisions in the EU. Annually, the EEN is expected to perform 50,000 technology audits and document 1,000 of them. The aim of this is to help SMEs develop new products. Interested companies are provided with information on EU measures, programmes and financing options.
